Sonam Kapoor in yet another Ralph and Russo Couture gown: Cannes 2016

Sonam Kapoor attended the premiere of “Loving” at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival in yet another Ralph and Russo Haute Couture gown. Just like yesterday, today also the dramatic cape of the gown created a magnificent look on the red carpet. She completed the look with a statement neck-piece from Bulgari.

Of Aishwarya and her Hypothermic Lavender Lips, in Rami Kadi: Cannes 2016

Yes, we need drama on the Cannes red carpet, but I am not too sure about this. This is extreme, or is she trying too hard?  Aishwarya Rai wore a beautiful Rami Kadi gown at the premiere of “From the Land of the Moon” at the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival. But, it was not the off shoulder gown, but her Lavender painted lips that took away the attention from what she was wearing. To me she looked quite hypothermic and sorry people she must be the one of the most beautiful women in the world, but that shade of Lavender lips didn’t complement her beauty or her personality.

First Look – Sonam Kapoor all set to slay the red carpet, in Ralph and Russo Haute Couture – Cannes 2016

So here we have the first images - courtesy, Rhea Kapoor’s Instagram, Sonam Kapoor is all set to slay the Cannes 2016 red carpet in this extremely gorgeous custom Ralph and Russo Haute Couture gown. The cape of the dramatic pearl white gown almost looked like a sari pallu from behind.  For me this is again a red carpet winner. BIG  LOVE!

Sonam electrifies in an unconventional Rimzim Dadu A/W metallic wire sari: Cannes 2016

I am so glad Sonam Kapoor picked this unconventional metallic wire pallu sari by Rimzim Dadu for her media interactions at the ongoing 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The fluid yet structured electric blue sari was in my Cannes 2016 wish list and who else can wear it better than the fashionista herself. She completed the look with a simple and sleek hairdo and earrings from Suhani Pittie. Stunning! You won it girl!

Blake Lively slayed it once again, in a dramatic Atelier Versace gown: Cannes 2016

Look at her. Isn’t she sensational?  Just because she is pregnant does not mean that she will abjure her style. This is how she celebrates her womanhood and the person that she is.

And, it’s Elie Saab for Aishwarya: Cannes 2016

For her second outing today on the red carpet, at the premiere of “The BFG (LeBon Gros Geant Le BGG)” ,Aishwarya Rai wore an embellished Elie Saab Fall 2014 gown. The intricate details of the pearl strewn organza gown oozed the required red carpet luxury. She completed the look with her dark lips, signature side curls and a gorgeous neckpiece - Ash looked glamorous. But, did she offer anything new?  Or, am I the only one having a major déjà vu moment?

As a brand ambassador of L’oreal, Aishwarya Rai attended the media interview at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2016 in a red Naeem Khan Resort 2016 gown. Red Carpet Queen Blake Lively gives a major Cinderella moment, in Vivienne Westwood: Cannes 2016

For me this year Blake Lively is already a winner of the red carpet at the 69th Cannes Film Festival. Aishwarya shimmers in Ali Younes, but is this the best? : Cannes 2016

So here we go people, one of the most anticipated moments. For her first appearance this year, Aishwarya shimmered in Ali Younes beaded couture gown while attending the premiere of ‘Ma Loute’ at the ongoing 69th Cannes Film Festival. There is no denying that with her intricately beaded gown, especially the flowing cape she looked opulent, however the question is – Is this the best? No, it didn’t impress me much; in spite of all the regal drama there was something rather dull about her overall look. And, as you can see the gown didn’t do much for her figure either.

Amal Clooney proves she is a red carpet pro in handling wardrobe malfunction: Cannes 2016

Amal Clooney channeled old Hollywood glamour in gorgeous thigh high Atelier Versace gown while attending the premiere of her husband’s movie “Money Monster” during the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The flowy train of the soft yellow one shoulder silk chiffon gown swayed behind her and created a beautiful drama on the red carpet.

People say judge a person by their shoes, but what if you go barefoot. It’s been only two days and Cannes red carpet 2016 has already shown an interesting ‘trend’ of going barefoot. When Kristen Stewart to Julia Robert went barefoot on the prestigious red carpet with their head held high, is it comfort over style or is it the new trend? Let’s see how many ladies out there will make such bold step by keeping comfort over fashion. All that I have to say - Bring it on girls!

Returning to her go-to designer, Julianne Moore wore a heavily sequined Givenchy Couture gown at the premiere of “Cafe Society” during the opening gala of the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival. In spite of its interesting Cobra embroidery and fishtail the overall look didn’t impress me much. I felt the gown looked too busy. What say people?

Her wavy cut and dazzling smile completed the look. Lovely!

Bianca Balti in Alberta Ferretti: Cannes 2016

Bianca Balti wore a pale blue Alberta Ferretti gown at the premiere of “Cafe Society” during the opening gala of the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The strapless ruffled gown featured a dramatic fishtail that swept the red carpet with grace, however, i feel the combination of a black strap and the black lace around the bodice was an overkill.

And, it doesn’t get much better than this when the technology giant decided to collaborate with the New York based fashion brand Marchesa’s designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig to create a one of a kind smart dress to complement the idea behind the event.
