One of the hottest and extravagant Fashion runway shows of the year, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2015 was held at the Regiment Armory, in New York on Tuesday, 10th November. With 47 models, including fresh faces, such as best friends Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid , and 10 new angels, this year the Lingerie retail brand celebrated its 20th anniversary with live performance by Selena Gomez, The Weeknd and Ellie Goulding.

Titled, The Sailing Bride, Monisha Jaising showcased her collection at the ongoing Amazon India Couture Week 2015 in New Delhi yesterday. Amidst show-stoppers like Pernia Qureshi and Kriti Sanon, i did notice a few pieces that bore a strong resemblance to Atelier Versace’s collection from various seasons. Whether intentional or otherwise, here are a few pieces from the collection that gave me a strong feeling of déjà vu.

Titled “Tree of Life”, Mishra’s latest offering was inspired by his wife. It is the multitasking nature of his better half, the way she manages her work and family life, inspired  the designer to conceive his first ever couture collection. The duality of a today’s modern woman, the fine balance of strong yet feminine nature of her personality intrigued the designer to create this sharp collection.

Alexander Wang to leave Balenciaga: Kering looking for a lesser known talent

According to a WWD report, Alexander Wang will be departing from Balenciaga soon. He will be showcasing his final collection for Balanciaga during Paris Fashion Week this September. The designer’s departure from the house has been rumoured for quite some time now. It is believed that Kering, the parent company of Balenciaga have taken a decision not to renew Wang’s contract. Earlier this month, Kering had released a statement saying, "There are discussions between the designer and Balenciaga regarding the renewal of the contract."

Now this is exciting! Its official, Yves Saint Laurent is returning to Couture business for the first time since 2002. The announcement comes with the opening of the brand’s newly renovated Couture house. The last Couture collection by the Parisian house was presented at Paris’ Pompidou Centre. The Haute Couture division of the label was shut after Monsieur Laurent’s retirement.

Sonam Kapoor glided down the red carpet in a lime green Elie Saab Spring Summer 2015 Couture gown at the premiere of “Inside Out” during the 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The lightness of the Ostrich feathers played with the volume of the gown, and the burst of the feathers on the chest, cascaded down the body of the embellished gown.
