‘HUEMN’ Autumn/Winter 2013-14
collection by the talented designer duo Pranav Mishra and Shyma Shetty was a
tribute to today’s sophisticated single woman. It was an interesting take on
the very idea of androgynous styling which effortlessly morphed into an
ambiguous contrast within texture, craftsmanship and the colour story.
Moving away from in- your- face femininity,
the label offered an androgynous line of pinstriped jackets and parallel/slit pants,
over-sized and fitted dresses and leather separates. Boxy tops, gown with 3D leather
rosette, striped blazer with floral appliqué, capes, button down dress and slim
skirts embraced the mixed colour palette of greys, whites, black, navys, red
and moss.
Clean cuts, layering and clever detailing
further elevated the fabric story comprising of silk, cotton, leather
and suiting materials, thus perfectly displaying the essence of this ‘Classic’
and ‘Elegantly Androgynous’ strong collection.
